Where Puzzles Come to life

PUZZLES | Set In Rooms | Filled with actors

The Seventh Room mixes room escape games, choose-your-own-adventure stories and interactive theater to create a real-life puzzle solving experience for attendees. The immersive puzzle experience is designed to blur the lines between illusion and reality. To make the experience even more memorable, a cast of improv-trained actors are armed with riddles, back-stories and cryptic clues to help guide participants through the puzzles. During the challenge, participants explore several theatrically-designed rooms to look for clues where they will encounter lock boxes, riddles, hidden compartments and colorful characters.

The following section is in reference to our General Admission games.  We occasionally will offer special events that may differ from our General Admission games.  If you have any questions about your event please email us at

How does this work?

The The Seventh Room experience combines elements of room escape games, choose-your-own-adventure stories and interactive theater to create a real-life puzzle solving experience unlike anything you've encountered before. In the General Admission game, players rotate through four rooms, spending 15 minutes in each room, while attempting to solve as many puzzles as possible. You will encounter lock boxes, riddles, hidden compartments and colorful characters with whom you will interact in order to complete your mission.

How much do tickets cost and how much time do I have?

Tickets to the General Admission game are $29 each. Players will spend 15 minutes in each room. There are four rooms available per game for a total experience lasting approximately one hour.

What time should I arrive?

We encourage players to arrive five to ten minutes before the start of their game. All performances begin promptly at their scheduled time. We will let players join a game up to 15 minutes after the game has begun.

How many people can be in a team?

We recommend that you bring a group of 6 to 8 players so everyone has an opportunity to participate in solving the puzzles. We will take online reservations for groups of up to 8 players for each performance.  We can accommodate as many as 30 players as long as they are willing to rotate through our rooms separately as teams.

Will I be on a team with people that I don't know?

Yes, there is a strong chance that you will be interacting with other players whom you have never met. Yay, new friends!

Can I bring my children?

The Seventh Room will allow players as young as 8 years of age in the General Admission games. Be cautioned though, our puzzles are targeted to a high school level education and up.  The youngsters may have a hard time understanding what's going on, but the actors are usually entertaining enough that they don't really care! Teams with children between ages 8 and 12 must purchase a private room (the price automatically adjusts in the booking system) at $232 plus tax.  All teams MUST have at least one adult over 18 years of age.

How Early Must I buy tickets?

All tickets are sold as far as 30 days in advance. Tickets may be purchased online with a 24 hour notice (Book here). If you would like to make a reservation within 24 hours of the performance time, please call (512) 643-3945. Please note that because we bring in actors for each game, we cannot accept walk-in guests if that game is already full.  We strongly encourage players to purchase tickets in advance.

What is your closing policy?

The Seventh Room will close performances that do not have any reservations 24 hours before the performance time. If there is even one player who has made a reservation, The Seventh Room will stay open to accommodate that player.

Is it scary?

Nope! Although some of the rooms are dimly lit and the backstories to some of the missions may incorporate spooky elements, this is NOT meant to be a frightening experience. No one will be jumping out at you, there is no gore or scary images. In fact, you'll probably do more laughing than anything else throughout the experience.

Do I need to bring anything?

You won't need anything to complete your mission. Some of the rooms are dimly lit so if you have trouble seeing in dark areas you may appreciate having a pair of reading glasses handy.

I have a scheduling conflict; can I cancel my reservation?

We will issue a full refund for any cancellations made more than 24 hours before a game.  Same-day cancellations are non-refundable but if we are notified at least 4 hours before the start of your game, we will happily reschedule you to join us at a later date.  No-shows or cancellations within 4 hours of a game are non-refundable and not available for rescheduling.

Can you accommodate wheelchairs?

Although our hallways and doorways are ADA compliant, much of the experience requires a full range of motion.  While we will do our best to accommodate players in wheelchairs, we want to set proper expectations that aspects of game play will be limited.
